Who we are
The Nelson ARK is a Charitable Trust founded in 2002 by Susan Murray-Rifici and Karen Howieson. Since that time, the Trust Board has grown substantially as has the community support. The Trust Board consists of seven members which includes representatives from education, business, animal welfare, veterinary science, as well as youth and older representatives.

Where are we
The Nelson ARK is temporarily located at the Nelson Kennel Association which is alongside the A&P Showgrounds on Lower Queen Street, Richmond. The ARK will be building on Tasman District Council- leased land behind the A&P Showgrounds. Away from residential areas, it has the added advantage of extensive walkways along the estuary, a perfect place for walking dogs.
Current Status
The Nelson ARK is now starting up Doggy Day Care.. A fun day where your dog can play and socialise with others.
Your dog is special and unique and will be treated with love and respect.
Available Tuesdays and Thursdays
7.30 a.m. till 6 p.m. $12.50 Half Day Or $25 Full Day day
